Greenpoint, Brooklyn – the neighborhood that I call home – is industrial and gritty, but packed with restaurants and bars and shops and artists and urban “homesteaders” and writers.  It is, by no means, the most beautiful neighborhood in the borough, but sometimes, I wake up as the sun is rising, and see the sky through my kitchen window – across the tops of the urban landscape – and it’s breathtaking. I wouldn’t want to live anywhere else.

Isn’t is nice to wake up every single morning and see a sky like this one?

I took this picture when we were recording a song in a studio. Recording requires total concentration and dedication, but sometimes it feels like a lock down.

I look out the window of my first home (that I own) at sunset, every day. First, I can see the park & playground where my son Ness plays most days (I try to ignore the building right across from my window). Next, you can see the Russian Orthodox church – a landmark of Williamsburg/Greenpoint Bklyn, where

I can see a park full of energy and people who share time with their families or are working out. They play basketball or skate or play futbol‬.

The park in front of my house has some cherry trees and it’s great to see people trying to get them on the cherry season.

A very nice bakery shop is close and lots of people go and get some warm bread, and sit on a sunny day to eat it there.

I’m inspired by this. This window, this view … the color mixture and the urban context along with a little bit of soft music make my day.

As a frequent visitor to our New York office – I am often asked what I think of the city.

Perhaps being from Toowoomba, a small farming community in Australia, I have a strong preference for small cities and country views. I have a small Zemoga office about a mile from

One of the reasons why I love my apartment is because of this view. I admit it’s not a perfect view and there’s a couple of ugly buildings I would like to have demolished tomorrow. But what matters here is that I get to see the mountains that surround Bogotá from La Calera to Monserrate and I have the privilege to attend to both the sunrise (on the left) and the sunset (on the right).

The second in our series, viewing the world through the eyes of the Z-team.
